Egg Basket

Saturday we tried to make eggs and decorate them. I forget the name of the technique but first you hollow them out (blow the yolk out). In this pitcutre there is Heather, Dave, Debbie, Emily and LIz all trying to work on it. After the eggs are hollow you draw a cool desgin on it and then you take wax and cover the parts that you want white. And then you dye the egg and then wax over the parts that you want that color. And so on and so forth. This is a very long process we got not even halfway through and couldnt do it. So yeah it was a really cool fundraiser idea but definalty took much to handle. Maybe we will just sharpie the eggs ar something.

Back to School

Sunday I came back to school and found that our campus was rented out to this Garden Show thing. But it was really nice to come back to colorful flowers and they were giving away free food! Which made it even better.

Colors

Today I got to hang out with Matt! I haven't seen him since christmas, so it was nice to hang out all day. We went to his house for a bit and his dad paid us 5 dollars to watch Joshua (matt's little bro) ride his bike the street. lol It was worth it because we ended up playing soccer in the backyard for a eally long time. With that 5 dollars we got surlpees at 7/11. They were delcious! We also watched Ratatiloue with Shamus! it was very cute, although I do not think that she would be a good chef :( Oh well. Matt and I kiddnapped Lisa and took her to Eldorados to get a brownie sundae! The waitress was very nice and added extra brownies and ice cream for us! This reminds me of Matt because it is so colorful! All and all it was a good way to end the break. Tomorrow I am off to school. I forgot to tell you what the picture was of. It is actually of an ashtray from I think Turkey. One of our neighbors brought it back for my parents and them not being smokers at all didn't want it. I took it because I love the colors in it and the intense detail on it. A quote for today is:

"We are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."

Haircut

Today I got a new haircut! Thought I needed another change in my life. But I love this cut, I think it is just perfect for me. Other than that I didn't really do that much. Today's quote is:

"Luck is persevering through hardships."

I learned that from Irish in America program on the National Geographic channel on St Patty's Day. Happy first day of Spring!

Swoosh.

This is a picture of a necklace that my sister Annie bought me! I love it so much. Although in this the necklace is upside down.
So my new goal this year is to think postivtley. Easier said then done but I am going to work on it by reading an insiprational quote everyday. Well almost everyday, I hope to do this. My first one is
"Dont let the time use you. Use the time you have."

Drop.

I love this project! It has led me to think differently about things. Instead of looking at an object from just one, instead I try every single one I can think of and I get shots like this. You would probably never guess it but that is a picture of my sister Annie's trophy from Americas Cup. The trophy is this really cool glass egg shaped thing with blue glass buubbles on the inside with white swirls. This is looking from the top of the egg through the glass to the bottem. The the light reflecting off of the glass and swirls and bubbles created this intense action. Pretty Sweet!

Playful Warm Inviting Day

Today was so nice, it must have been at least 60. I took Indy for a bike ride today, no he didn't ride the bike with me. lol The day was warm enough to wear a sweatshirt but there was ths mysterious breeze that appeared while riding. Anyways we played outside all day and when mom came home from we the three of us (my mom, the dog and I) all sat on the front porch soaking in the fading sun rays. When Erin came home from practice we went down to Cedar Beach to take some photos for her class. It was so beatiful, I wish I could post all the pictures I took today. I love them all. This picture was actaully taken downport, kind of like downtown. We went to the harbor and the little beach around it. I had a hard time decieding which picture to use but I choose this one because I like the simplicity of it.

Street Surfing

It was pretty warm out today so I decied to play with Indy. I also took out Erin's Wave. It has two wheels on the bottom of it and you have to balance on it and let twist your hips to actually get started. It's kind of hard to explain but a lot of fun once you get the hag of it. I just love the perspective on this picture. I also baked some cookies today for St. Patrick's Day! I made shamrock cookies, along with little owls and bones. Overall good day and good cookies!

Best gift Ever!

For christmas my friend Brittany got me this X-files comic book! It is so good. Brittany and I are both X-files fans and we could literally spend a whole day watching episodes. lol Sunday was pretty boring, not much to do because Lexi left for school and Matt isn't going to be home till friday. So I just chilled around the house and read the x-files. Actaully I was so bored that me and Erin were comparing our state quarter maps (yes kind of dorky, I know). When we figured out that we both needed either 3 or 4 quarters left and Erin has these bigs peanut butter jars full of change, so we deiceded to first count the quarters. Then we were still sorting the quarters but we had to keep dumping a bit of change to search further within the container. So we decieded to also sort all the pennies from the nickels and dimes and we put all the pennies in one jar and then nickels, dimes, quarters. lol We had a lot of down time that day.

Start of Spring break.

Saturday I went with my mom up to SingSing to visit my grandma. Haha no not the prison but Ossing, my grandma lives up there..sort of. ANyways we went up to see her which was really nice. I also saw my uncle jimmy and anut susie too. We came home around 3 and I hung out with Lexi. We went rollerblading, our favorite thing to do since the streets got paved last thanksgiving. We also took Indy and I let lexi hold him and Indy saw another dog and he went straight for them and took lex. It was rather funny, she didn't get hurt, she just got a really good yank for him. Unforuntuly we only got to talk for an hour and that might be the last time I see her until July. So here is a picture of Leo, he weighs 25 pounds or so. Leo was being very playful, he was whacking around a wiffle balland i bent down to take a picture of him and he started to play with my camera string. What a ham!

Home Sweet Home.

So I came home Friday night which was nice because then I had the whole Saturday. This is my home on Long Island and thats my dog Indy on the yard. Thats the same house that my mom grew up in too but back then it looked totally different. My grandpa actually picked this out when it was first built back in the 1950s. And im sure my sister Kate will read this and tell me the exact date too. So thats a really cool fact to say, or at least I like to say.

Here Kitty!

Here is Kona, just chilling out in our couch. I walked into the room one day and just found her sitting there, staring at me. Creeper. Some may wonder why I have so many photos of cats, but its just friends bringing them here or me going there and stuff like that. Kona belongs to Meg, who lives 5 minutes away, so Kona is always chilling in the room.

Poof!

So this is Lizzy, who usually has normal curly hair but today Debbie deicded to give Liz a fro. It was the funniest thing ever to see Liz walk about with about 6 inches more of poof on top of her head. After taking some really funny pictures Debbie straigthen her hair. I think it took over 2 hours to do but it looked great afterwards.

Caught Red-Handed

I love this rat probably more than anyone should. But look at her, she is so cute. I love letting run around my room. Sometimes I will be sitting at the computer doing homeworkand she will just crawl all over me. I used to have a cup full of cereal on my desk and everytime she found it, I would let her take one. She would quickly reach in and then run to the window sill and hide behind something to eat it. Like I just didn't she her do that. Shamus is really hard to get a good picture of too. She is so fast and she hops across my bed, its so cute! I love her to death!

Diner Time!

We went to a diner at around 11pm one night. We did it as a sister event, just because diners are so much fun. It surprises me when my friends say that they have never been, for me diners are included in some of my favoite memories as a kid. And tonight I can add this as a favorite memory too. I think we were being a bit too loud, hehe, because the people behind us kept pointing and clearly talking about us. Oh well what can you do. In this picture we have all the way at the end of the table Sanna, Me, Heather, Meg, Laura, Ar, Cacie, Debbie and Lizzy. <3>
