Life of Reily

This is the sunset from my sister Eem's apartment, it's where I spend a better part of my life for the past few weeks. Eem's lives with Pawel and her boyfriend Dave has been up recently. We spend our evenings usually cooking up different things and playing football out front. One time we made these amazing bugers from regualr meat and bison meat, it was great. I love sittting out on the deck and eating dinner, it reminds me of home. I love their apartment, sometimes me and debbie go over there and just chill even when no one is home. Great Times there.

Flower

I have realized that I take a lot of flower pictures. It's just because they are always around and you can capture them in all different lights.

It was nice way to top off A-Day weekend. Everyone was just able to relax from the hectic weekend. I couldn't of asked for a better present. Just being surrounded by all my friends was great.

Setting Sun

This was the last thing we did on sunday for A-Day. In the picture is Meg, Me and Steph, we wanted to go on the Euro Bungee thing and it was about 5:30 that day, everyone was closing shop up and A-Day was about to be over. So we walk up to the line for the bungee thing and we were the last in line, so the guys running the bungee let us go for free on it. It was so much fun, we got to do flips and jump as high as you can. That is my favorite part of A-Day, to jump on the Euro Bungee. I loved the way it ended. All and All it was a great weekend.

The Gang A-Day 2009

Well here is part of the gang. Actually now a days this isn't even half of us. Lets see there is Mike in the back with his hands up and then going left to right its Shawn, Steph, Dawn, Ar, Heather, Shay, Dayna, Me and Chambers. A-Day is great, I spent all of friday just chilling in the food tent hanging out with everyone. We got a lot of good food too! Overall it was great. I walked around the tents and exhibits at least 5 or more times with different people. A-Day doesn't get old for me. Although it was so hot on Saturday and Sunday, it was killer. Sunday it was so hot that no one was really eating that much food. Saturday I worked at the food tent from 1 to 3 and let me tell you that was the worst time to do it. Everyone at A-Day decieded to eat at that time. It was crazy, I was serving food and running around from a good hour straight. It was intense, but at the same time I had a lot of fun. This was my first A-Day that I was allowed to work in the food tent, last year Omega Chi could not partipate, so it was cool to experince A-Day from the other side. I really enjoyed the food tent and can't wait till next year!

The Fryers

Today was the start of A-Day! Omega Chi and Zeta Chi were in the food tent cooking up some good eats. The boys were in charge of frying the fries and chicken tenders, while us girls did other various tasks like package food, serve it and stuff. A-Day is our state fair, there are farm animals, craftshows, bungee jumping thingy. It is a lot of fun. I have way too many pictures that I want to put up from it. I like this picture because Brain actually made me take it. He asked he I was still keeping up with this project and gave me the idea to take pictures of the frys like this. So thanks Brain!

Salamander

Here is a salamander that I found while bug hunting also. I was just picking at this log on the side of the path when I uncovered this fellow. I tried to get a better picture but is was kind of hard and then he ran further into the log. But it was awesome, I was expecting to find bugs and insects inside the log, not a salamander. It was a really great find!

I Spy a Moth

This was also taken on a bug hunting adventure, it is of a moth that blended in almost perfectly with the tree. It was so cool, KV was just looking at the tree and was like look there is a moth! So we collected it and now it is in her collection. Bug Hunting is a lot of fun because you don't realize what is out there until you look carefully.

Sun-Bathing Snake

I went bug hunting again with my friend KV. We went to the Covered Bridge Park, the one where my friends and I played on the playground. KV and I found this path that goes all around the park and we found a table to set up camp at. I was just about to walk down to the river right next to the table when KV screams "Carefull Snake!" And I look down and see this fellow here. He was just chilling on a rock sunbathing himself. Of course we immdateily walked away from the snake just incase he decieded to attack. We actaully saw about 4 snakes that day. It was awesome!

Self Portait

For my Fine Arts class I had to draw a self portait. I choose to do a tree of life sort of thing. The tree is done in black thin line sharpie and the rest is done in crayons. The saying at the bottom is "Life is all anout making memories" because well its true. What else do you look back on other than the memories that you created. I am really happy with how this turned out.

The Greatest Fort Ever!

Yes my friends, that is an epic fort! This is the day after the formal and I was at one of my sister's apartment off campus, me and her 21 year old boyfriend Dave deiceded to build a fort. We used kitchen chairs, a small arm chair, a papazane chair and a couch. Inside the tent was extremly comfortable. We had the cushin to the papazane chair in the middle, surrounded by a feather pillow top cover for a bed; that was amazlying soft. And a bunch of blankets and pillows. We fit 3 people in there comfortably and the ceiling was pretty high for a fort. We put the round part of the papozane chair on top of two chairs also. This was the best fort I have made in forever! I know it sounds childish but it was so much fun and only 5 minutes to make. It was the best Fort Ever!

For dinner I went over my friend KV's house. We had ham, amazing pinaeapple suflae and german potato salad. Easter was fun even though I didn't get to spend it with my family.

Spring Lilly

Saturaday I planned to work on homework all day but it was so rainy out that instead I spent the day watching movies, curled up under a blanket. That was for the better part of the morning, the sun eventually came out later in the day. This picture is of some lillies that my roomate had bought for her sister. They looked so beaituful! Later that night I went over to my friend KV's house and we played catch pharse with her parents! it was a lot of fun.

Monkey in a BOX!

Haha got ya. It is no monkey but instead a crazy cat whose name is Monkey! Friday there was no power on campus so Debbie and I deiceded to use our friends aparment for electricity. They had gone home this weekend so we chilled with the 2 cats and did homework all day. While we were sitting out on the little balcony I opened the door to let Monkey out with us. It was her first time being out on the porch and I think she enjoyed it. After a while she found a box sitting out there and she jumped in it. Haha it was great a cat in a beer box. But basically we chilled in an empty apartment all day, just to use the power and find out that the campus got power again at 1 in the afternoon! Oh well.

Food! More Food And Even More Food!

Although this took place Monday I had to put ot up. This is the Halloween Haunting Food Eating Contest and before the food part we had Pie your Professor, where people were allowed to throw whip cream pies at teachers. Well my Monday was the longest day ever. I went from one thing to the next without a break. I has a Macro test at 9:25, came back took a shower and then went to help out with Tabour's Easter Egg Hunt and then we came back from that in which I had to try and stall sercuity from putting a boot on my friends car. And then after that I had to go to work from 12:30 to 4:30 and then right after that I had to go help set up for HH which went until almost 8 o'clock at night. And then after that I had to go study for my CPR test and then at 9 I had to go to an Omega Chi Meeting which didnt get out until 10 or so. Basically Monday I was busy until 11am to 11pm. It was a crazy day. But the food eating contest went great. The contestants had to eat half a pizza, 25 wings and 2 selves of oreos. The picture to the right is my soroity sister Emily. She had just finshed eating all of the wings, haha. It was a great show, so funny. Our brother Frat Zeta Chi actually won the contest! The oreo part was the most intesnse. One kid smashed all of his up with a hammer and poured it into his cup of milk and drank it.

Scrapbooking!

This week we had to work on our Greek of the Year project to hand in. Basically each Greek organization on campus is in contention for the Greek of the Year award and that basically says that your organization was outstanding for the year. We had a choice of either just doing a resume or doing a scrapbook type thing to hand in. Well of course we choose the scrapbook idea because we could get extra points for creativty that way. It was an intsensive project, took us about4 hours each night and 8 hours total. But for all that hard work, I really liked how it turned out. I am hoping that we get the binder back too because it is basically a book of us and what we do during an entire school year.

Taber's Easter Egg Hunt

Monday we did Taber's Easter Egg hunt! It was so much fun!. Basically we went to Taber's which is a day school for kids and we went in and hid easter eggs in the classroom for them to hide. We had 3 different groups, the first was 2 years old so for that we really just placed the eggs on the floor. But the groups got older so we were able to find cooler spots to hide. The oldest group was 7 year olds, pictured here, and seince we had left over eggs they got 9 each! It was fun to watch thte kids get so excited and run into the room to try and fnd them. Chambers, one of my brother, left hand side of picture, put an egg on his foot and just sat on the stage and waited for the kids to notice it. A little girl tentively came up to grab it. It was also the last event that we got to do with Sarah B. She is leaving for the navy tomorrow, Im so sad to see her leave.

Older Then You

This was an old plow that we found on Pride and Polish. We unearthed it while cleaning up around the shed. But it is definatly old school kind of plow. Sunday we had shed clean for Halloween Haunting, it went pretty well. A lot of people came out for it and we got everything organized and recorded and now I can start to complie my list for the fall. But overall I liked this picture of somehing old.

Spring

Spring has finally arrived on campus. All the daffodills are in bloom. An explosion of yellow across the campus. It is so beautiful. I love when the campus is in bloom, everything is just prettier. Of course the flower is wet because it likes to rain in the morning and then be sunny at like 2 in the afternoon. I just can't wait until it gets warm enough out that we can all go to peace valley and hangout. My favorite thing to do in the spring at Delval!

My Omega Chi Family

Well this is my Omega Chi Family. It includes all of us in the soroity now and 2 alumi. We went to Lancer's Diner to say goodbye to our sister Sarah B. who is going into the Navy. We wanted to get together as a group to say goodbye to her. It was a great diner and an amzing sunset that we got to watch out the window. We got Sarah cards and balloons and even Ice Cream Cake! It's sad to see her go, she was a big part of us. But either way our family is ever expanding, there is about 20 of us now, up from 4 when I already joined.

Bottles! Bottles Bottles!!!

Now I couldn't resist but I had to put up both of these pictures for Pride and Polish. Pride and Polish is when somehow the college gets everyone excited to clean up around the school, basically using us as free labor even though we pay an outragoues amount. And normally we have a whole day off for this but this year the college decieded to do Pride and Polish the beginning half of the day with classes in the afternoon. For Pride and Polish this year I had the option of helping out ethier Omega Chi or Halloween Haunting. Since I am on the exec. team for Halloween Haunting and basically half that team is Greek I knew that many were going to go help out with their Greek Chapters. So I decieded to help HH and our task was to clean up around our Inventory shed. There isn't much t0o clean up around the shed, we picked up some sticks and rearranged some random bricks to make it look like we did something. And then we figured we should pick up the trash in the surrounding woods to really make it look like we tried. So as we are picking up the trash we keep walking further in the woods. When we came across these old bottles. They were srewn all over the woods, almost like in piles. We jumped from pile to pile and the bottles keep getting older. There were bottles, jars, candles, lightbulbs, old shoes we found. A lot of cool old stuff and for the next two hours we spend rumaging throught the woods looking at all this cool old stuff. I couldn't believe all that we found. Old Moonshine bottles, old coke bottles and pepsi too! It was really cool. I didnt grab that much though. I grabbed an old 4U bottle, not even sure when that was around, and old glass Cananda Dry bottle and a wine bottle that I want to put flowers in and that little tiny blue jar because I liked the color. It was such an awesome day, I am so happy that I helped Halloween Haunting because it definatly was the best Pride and Polish!

Creamy Caramel

This is a patrotic chocolate bar!!!! It was for FFA (Future Farmers of America), and it was only a dollar. I figured a dollar for patrotism was worth it.
