Openness

This is my view coming home from work. Sunrise Highway. Nice open straight road. Not to much to say about. Work was good today, it was only Alex and I there. Although Joe our crazy boss keep calling us to make sure we could handle everything. Joe is really is crazy! lol

Work Work.

Saturday I started my old job again at Hampton Watercraft. I only work Saturdays and Sundays right now. But hopefully that will change when the season picks up. It was nice to see everyone again. A lot has changed in the 10 months that I havent been there. lol

Charlie

This is my cat Charlie, he is very scary. lol Charlie is 19 years old, soon to be 20. We used to think he was immortal but unforuntly his health is declining. Although he still likes to whack Indy when he walks by or whack the vaccum. His favorite thing to eat it butter and he follows me around the kitchen every morning until I give him some! It is a very annoying routine. But as old and fragile as he is, he's still a very handsome cat.

Puppy Love

This is Leo and Indy sharing a special moment. haha They are best friends and Leo loves to clean Indy. Leo will literally sit down next to Indy and pull his head down and start cleaning the dirty dog. But of course when Indy tries to return the favor Leo bats him away and starts to clean Indy again. It is a cute thing they do to show their love for each other. Look at Leo the fat cat. He is bigger than our neighbors dog! Haha

Rain Rain Go Away

It seemed like most of this week was rain. Trying to put up the garden fence with my dad was no fun task. Especailly because every aspect of that fence is wrond. The posts are not the correct feet away, the slots on the new fence all need to be trimmed. Really simple stuff but it all adds up. As we were surveying the garden for the fence, there were these plants that had a million little water drops on them. It looked so cool. I really love the super macro setting on my camera, definalty takes better pictures than regular focus.

Memorial Day Dancing

Memorial Day, I went to Matt's grandparents house out in Huntington. He had his anuts and uncles there, all of which I know. It was a great time. Everyone played Badmination and volleyball and as you can tell we also had a dance party! lol This is Matt's Anut, Laura Jean, and me rocking out! It was a good party, everyone had fun. And only Joshua cried but that was sort of expected. He is only 8.

Petals

So I was outside on my front porch and we had some impateints sitting on the ground. I noticed that the pedals shone in the light and thought I would take a stab at trying to capture it. You can kind of see it in the white. I like this picture because your eye is also drawn beyond on the pedals by the lines in the adirondck chair. Sunday night went bolwing with some friends and it was only a dollar a game! It was so cool. Unforuntely ealrier that day I cut my finger pretty badly so bolwing was really hard. But I had a ton of fun and who wouldnt, only a dollar a game!

Stephen King

I just had to finshed Cujo. Have you ever gotten to that point in the book when you just can't put it down. The end of the book, is one where you just need to finsh it. Like you needed to know what was going to happen to these characters. All in all that was my first King book and I was surprised to actaully like it. I always expected to hate his books but I really enjoyed this one. My next book is going to be Tailsman also by King. My friend Brittany suggest that I read it and of course the good ol' public library didnt have it, so I got Cujo instead. But my mom said she knew where I could get a copy of it. Im glad to actaully have time to read. Unfouruntely during the school year, its too hectic to read. But now I have lots of time on my hands, so reading is a great way to past that time.

Indy

Here is a picture of my puppy, his name is Indy. He is about 7 years old now and his best friend is a cat! Did not do that much, hung aound the house and did some more yard work. I also read some more of Cujo. Such an exciting book. Hung out with Matt and Lisa and watched some movies. Not to special for the start of Memorial Day weekend.

Yard Work

Today my mom and I painted the garden posts, gate and arch Orange Ice. Nice color I think. There will be a white picket fence going around it. I think it will look good once the fence is back in place. We also cut down some more dead bushes. The backyard needs a lot of help, so I dont really mind helping out arond the house. Of course Leo had to help out and sit on his favorite bench in the garden. After that hung out with Matt and we went to El Dorados for dinner! Definalty good. Then we watch Reefer Madness with Lisa, Marc and Ashley, such a funny movie. Its a spoof on the old 1930s, 40s outlook on marijuana. Haha Definalty going to be in my top movie list now!

Shamie!

I love this rat so much, I think its might be a problem. But of course she likes to push my buttons, and eat everything! I can't stay mad at her too long. She is sooo cute and she loves her self some good pets! Today Matt and I went for a bike ride, our mission was to take the back roads downport but somehow we got distracted by these new bike paths. We kind of stumbled upon them and the paths were nice and paved, it was so cool. Anyways we ended up in East Seatauk and from there it took us at least 40 minutes to get home. It was such a good workout. Other than that didn't do that much, went to the library to get some movies. All in all it was a good day.

Matty and I

Here is Matt and I roller blading. That was after a long day of bike riding around the world....somehow we had endless amounts of energy. It was great. Matt, Mitch and I tried to show Joshua how to roller blade the right way. Instead of stomping him feet on the ground. By the end he got a bit better. All in all it was a nice day, no one got injured. And with that crowd of boys it sometimes gets a tad bit too rough. lol

AstroJacks

This is AstroJacks. A really cool toy. These 3 balls are attached to a string with the middle one, yellow, can freely move between the end ones, red and green. You can swing it around and make the balls do cool tricks and patterns with the lights. Provides good entertainment. Lol. Today I hung out with Matt ad Lisa. We made Mac and Cheese. 3 boxes to be preceise, unforuntly Lisa was right and we couldn't finsh it all. lol. We also made cupcakes!!! And decorated them with this awesome lavaneder colored forsting that we made. Those cupcakes were amazing, not gonna lie.

Rock Throwing?...No Rock Climbing!

Today Jon, Ray and I went to Island Rock Indoor Rock Climbing. It was great, we took a mini lesson in bealying so that we could belay each other instead of being following around by a staff member. Unforuntly since I recently cracked my elbow, I just didn't have the arm strength to do many walls. I did the straight easy ones, that was about as tough as I wanted to go. lol But Ray and Jon were both really good at it. I belayed them belayed them both on this really hard wall, it took both at least ten mintues. It was a lot of fun! Jon climbed up the other walls like a little monkey! He was so fast! And Ray was so talk that in 2 or 3 steps he would already be half way up! lol. It was great. Later that night I hung out with Matt and Lisa!! Matt had just come back fom college for the summer and the first thing we do it chill and catch up! Sweetness.GL2NKL ( Sorry that was Shamus).

Movie NIght

So after spending all day doing yard work my mom and I decieded to go see the new Star Trek movie, we have been talking baout seeing since I got home a week ago. We finally deicede to go and we get there and the paper had lied about the times. The 8:00 show was sold out and at first I didn't see the 8:30 slot but I noticed the Imax movie was Star Trek. We tired to get tickets for that one but it too was sold out the marquee just didn't say it. Since that was full and the next showing wasn't until 9:30 we asked about Angels and Demons, and surprisingly the 8:30 showing of that wasn't sold out! My mom and I ended up seeing Angels and Demons which we were going to see next weekend anyways. It came out on Friday and we saw it Saturday! Usually my mom never goes to the movies and especially never sees a movie that just came out! lol It was a great turn of events either way. Now next week we are going to try and see Star Trek again. hahha.

Lionel The Lion

Yup this is my new lion, Lionel. He just looked so aweome that I had to have him. For anyone who doesn't know, lions are the mascot of my sorority. So we need to have many lions around us. Actually I think in our quad alone we have over 20 lions throught the three rooms. lol Today I helped my mom in the garden. We cut back the dead branches of the forceshthsis ( thats not spelled right but I dont how to spell it, sorry) but Kate and Anne the bushes that line the back of our yard by the garden and duck pen. I had a lot of fun cutting off all the dead branches. I dont know why, maybe beacuse I knew I was helping the bushes a lot. It was so overgrown and full of dead braches that it looked like a jungle. I also pulled out over 40 maple trees again. There really is an outbrreak of maple trees in the surrounding 3 houes by me. The trees are just growing everywhere. Its driving me crazy. Its not good to have that many growing because sooner or later when you dont realiaze it the trees are alreally too big or are causing harm to another bush. Anyways Ive been trying to get all the trees out, it seems like a never ending task. Every time I turn there is another tree I see. lol

Spring Winds.

Thursday was so windy out. The front door kept flying open, I had to keep locking it so it would just stay shut. It was crazy. Other than that didn't do that much else, it just wasn't nice enough outside to do anything. Me and my mom did go to Home Goods just to see what was there. I didn't really expect to find anything but when I walked by a statue of a lion I knew I had to have it. I got Lionel the lion and he's fucking awesome! But yeah after that we went home made dinner and watch the crazy season finale of Bones. It was exciting! lol

Smoothie Goodness

Wednesday I hung out with Ray, Jon and Erik, my guy friends from home. And Ray brought us to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It was really good. I got a sunrise sunset and it was made with strawberries, pineapple, bananas. Ray got a morning after, I forget what is in it. And Jon go thte same as me. I really enjoyed it after that we went to Norwood to play some frisbee and basketball. We used the smaller hoop because Jon is really short and he wanted to dunk the ball. Haha we ragged on him so much. It was a great time! lol

Texture

Today I was just sitting around and my camera was right next to me and I started playing around with it. This is a close up of my jeans... I thought it looked cool. You can see all the threads of the fabric. Well today I was put to work. I had to pull out about 50 little maple trees that started growing in our side yard. I lost count after 20 trees, and fought with some of the bigger ones. Somehow we have an over population of maples in our yard. It was exhausting. I ran some errands, it was nice out so I rode my bike to the library and post office and got an amazing slupree from sevs. I started reading Cujo, my first Stephen King novel. So far I can't see how this book is going to be scary but it is really intriguting. That's really me day in a nutshell. Shamus is running around my room like a crazy rat but when is not crazy.

OOOh No Mr. Bill!

Oh no Mr. Bill is right...he is balacning perfectly on that card...it can only spell out trouble for Mr. Bill. For those of you who don't know who Mr. Bill is, he was first developed for Saturday Night Live as a parody of bad animation but definalty grew into a culture phenomenon. My sister Kate got Mr. Bill for my mom for Mother's day. My mom was perplexed as to why my sister bought it for her but it is because my mom always used to say that when we were kids. "Oh no Mr. Bill!" I thought it was a great gift and I plan to take Mr. Bill a couple of more dangerous places for fun. I think one week we will follow the adventures of Mr. Bill and see what he gets himself into.

The many faces of Murray

While cleaning my room and making space for all my college stuff, I decieded to take a break and have some fun. Haha of course that means playing around with good old Murray. He has many different banadas...mostly he wears red ones(hehe of course) but while cleaning I found an old blue one. Well the outfit wasn't complete without an awesome pair of sunglasses! He's even got the nice shine coming off of them.

New Kicks!

The first thing that I did when I came home was open my new shoes! I was so gidy! hehe. I laced them up immedately but of course the lacing took me forever. It had to be perfect and I kept restarting lacing because it was wrong. My mom thought I was crazy doing again and again but these shoes have to just right. I only lace them once, so it has to be right the first time. I love these new kicks..I can't wait to start showing them off!

Debbie! Debbie! Debbie!

Haha you guessed it...its Debbie! wacthing me pack up the last of my stuff. I picked up my camera and snapped this picture right before I packed it away. I was spoiled this year in Centianal...my own bathroom, sink, an amazing common room and even better roommates. Gonna miss this room and the random people always in there when I came back from class or work or whereever. It was a great semester.

The KV Flu

This week during finals is the one time that I get seriously sick. It all started with my friend KV, yes KV infected me with her sickness and passed it along. I am now just getting over it after a week. In one night I ate a whole can of Mandarin Oranges, trying to boost up my immune system. And I took alka-seltzer at night which is supposed to knock you out but of course it just kept me up longer. I hate when that happens. Being sick during finals week sucks...I couldn't concentrate long enough to study, instead I just tried to sleep the sickness off. The only good thing was that I knew what was coming because KV was a day or so a head of me in the sickness. lol

Emptiness

I started to take down my room and boy the white walls make the room so boring. No colorful pictures, drawing or anything fun on the walls.... its so sad this time of year, watching everyone slowly take pack up their lives. It's wierd I bring so much stuff to put on my walls...that when I take it all down...its like taking down who I am. Oh this quad was definalty fun to be in!

A Goodbye Branch

Dave gave me and liz some branches from a tree outside centinal. Long story short it was raining outside and Eems was like well I was going to bring you guys flowers but they would be all wet and annoying to get. So what does dave do....runs outside and grabs us 2 branches...oh Dave!

So this is Kv's finshed bug collection. Everything is tagged and in size order. It is a pretty cool collection! Im so impressed!

Sister Brother BBQ

Today we had our annul BBQ at Peace Valley and this year we invited our brothers to come join in on the fun. The girls, mainly Eems cooked the bugers and dogs. It was a lot of fun Debbie had brought bubbles to blow and a scooter to ride. It was great everyone joined in on the fun. We also played football and volleyball. This picture is of Pat holding a rust spore from a tree. Its part of this whole big process for germinating a tree, I could tell you but its a lot to repeat. But Pat was so proud that he found it, he needed a picture for proof! lol

Piggy Back

Her is Dave and I. haha Somehow I walked into Lizzy's and Sanna's side and Debbie was holding Dave. haha I have no idea how that happened. Eventually I ended up holding Dave up for a while too. Haha but I couldnt walk that far with him, that fatty. Then I jumped on his back because that made more sense! Thumbs up!
